Wild Rose Realty’s owner and principal broker is John Kay Pehrson. Apache Builders’ owner and chief general contractor is Gary DeRose. Wild Rose Realty and Apache Builders work together to provide you access to Salt Lake Valley’s residential real estate. John and Gary, childhood friends, have united their experience in real estate and home building to get you into the perfect home, and have a little fun along the way.
John and Gary were raised in the small town life of Springville, Utah. They became best friends by the age of five and have strengthened their friendship many times over to the present day. Gary graduated from Springville High School and received his degree from Weber State University. John also graduated from Springville High School and received his degree from Brigham Young University. John has been a resident of Teton Valley, Idaho since 1973. He has recently moved to Bluffdale, Utah to fulfill the long-awaited dream of working with his high school buddy.
A History You Can Trust
John and Gary chose different career paths following their university degrees. In 1969, John discovered the thrill of entrepreneurship co-founding an internationally acclaimed fly fishing resort on the historically rich Teton River. Shortly after building a thriving resort business, John simultaneously moved forward with his interest in real estate by becoming an associate broker for American Realty West (based in Driggs, Idaho) in 1982. With American Realty West, John has worked in developing and selling homes and vacation properties in Teton Valley, near Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He is now licensed as an associate broker with All West Realty. For over twenty years, John was also a partner in Teton Valley Lodge Sites and Teton Valley Ventures, two real estate development companies. John’s twenty-four years in the real estate business have qualified him in personally assisting clients with the lively nature of home selling and buying.

Over thirty years in the resort business and twenty-four in the real estate business has taught John the essential nature of customer service in developing life-long customers and friends.
